Sumario:This article´s objective is to analyze and reflect on the Sixties economic and social contexts in Colombia that led to the formulation of civic-military actions as a strategy of the Military Forces, especially of the developmental line, who designed and applied it in the national territory. This strategies purposal was to restore institutional credibility on eyes of the population and mitigate the violence origins. However, it was not enough to solve the underlying problems of Colombian society since the other institutions were not interested or coordinated with this strategy. Even so, they became a pioneering and developmental strategy to address the social and economic challenges of different communities across the country.
