Sumario: | The historical neglect of the Colombian State towards Afro-descendants, especially women of the municipality of Buenaventura, has generated a systematic violation of their fundamental rights, which has resulted into high levels of inequality, marginalization and discrimination. The last, coupled with a context of armed conflict, has degraded the humanitarian situation in this region. The purpose of this article is to show how the intertwining of ethnicity, class, gender and the armed conflict worsens the situations of discrimination that women experience. In the same way, the intersectional approach is positioned as an appropriate alternative for the construction of territorial peace in regions where Afro-Colombian communities live
