Sumario:The signing of the Peace Treaty in Colombia has positioned in public, academic and social debate the notion of reconciliation. Nevertheless, it does not exist comprehensive single definition of this term; the substance of reconciliation is determined by the conceptions reached over the conflict its dynamics and the peace. This essay deals with which should be the notion of reconciliation needed in Colombia to go forward towards peace scenarios, suggests that democratic and political reconciliation is nourished on basic concepts to recognize it as the ideal to build a stable and lasting peace.
