La investigación analiza las relaciones entre el movimiento social del macizo colombiano y la insurgencia en el sur del departamento del Cauca para la década de los 90, para ello se realizaron visitas de campo al territorio y la construcción de fuentes orales a partir de entrevistas a líderes y lideresas de las organizaciones sociales participantes del movimiento social del macizo. Se encontró que la presencia insurgente posibilitó el desarrollo del movimiento campesino en el macizo colombiano y sus grandes movilizaciones durante el periodo estudiado, pero al mismo tiempo fue afectado negativamente por la “justicia guerrillera”, las acciones militares y la consecución de recursos económicos de las guerrillas. A investigação analisa as relações entre o movimento social do maciço colombiano e a insurgência no sul do departamento do Cauca para a década dos 90, para isto se realizaram visitas rurais ao território e a construção de fontes orais a partir de entrevistas a homens e mulheres líderes das organizações sociais participantes do movimento social do maciço. Verificou-se que a presença insurgente possibilitou o desenvolvimento do movimento camponês no maciço e suas grandes mobilizações durante o período estudado, mas ao mesmo tempo foi afetado negativamente pela “justiça guerrilheira” as ações militares e a obtenção de recursos econômicos das guerrilhas.
