| Sumario: | This article analyzes the relationship between the social movement in the colombian massif and the insurgency in south Cauca during the 1990's. For this purpose, field visits were carried out on this territory as well as the reconstruction of oral testimonies obtained from interviews with leaders of social organizations that participate in the social movements of this area. It was found that insurgency enabled the development of the peasant's movement in the colombian massif and the massive protests that took place during this period of time; but at the same time, it negatively affected this movement through "guerilla justice", military operations and the consecution of economic resources of the guerrillas. |
