Este artículo busca hacer un recorrido por el concepto de movimientos sociales y su repercusión en las sociedades y en los modelos políticos occidentales; al mismo tiempo, se abordará la construcción del movimiento feminista comunitario, tomando como punto de referencia la Revolución Francesa, para finalmente mostrar la importancia de los planteamientos teóricos feministas y sus prácticas en aras de avanzar hacia una Colombia más justa donde la solidaridad y la paz primen sobre la guerra. Tener en cuenta los aportes del feminismo en el marco del proceso de paz entre el Gobierno colombiano y las FARC-EP es sentar las bases para la construcción de un camino sólido hacia la democracia.
