El artículo indaga en las significaciones que adquieren las prácticas de invisibilización en las dinámicas locales de la pequeña ciudad de Curuzú Cuatiá, ubicada en la región del litoral argentino, en el centro sur de la provincia de Corrientes. Analiza la elaboración de la presencia, el efecto que esta tiene en la producción de diferencias y la reproducción de desigualdades sociales. El desarrollo de este trabajo muestra algunos rituales de conmemoración del aniversario de su fundación y, particularmente, de los festejos extraordinarios de su Bicentenario. Tiene como eje central establecer relaciones entre la elaboración de la presencia y las instancias de legitimación de visiones culturales dominantes a nivel local. O artigo indaga as significações adquiridas nas práticas de in(visibilização) nas dinâmicas locais da pequena cidade de Curuzú Cuatiá. A cidade está localizada na região litorânea da Argentina, no centro-sul da província de Corrientes. Se analisa a elaboração da presença e seu efeito na produção de diferenças e reprodução de desigualdades sociais. O desenvolvimento deste trabalho mostra alguns rituais de comemoração do aniversário de sua fundação e, particularmente, das festas extraordinárias por ocasião de seu Bicentenário.
