Working from a quantitative methodological approach that takes the National Census of Population, Households and Housing 2010 as the main source of data, the aim is to study whether migrants are located in vulnerable areas such as informal urbanizations and/or areas with concentration of deficit housing conditions, as well as capture specificities of migratory groups within (and between) different types of residential area. The work focuses on the Gran Buenos Aires Agglomeration, and the universe is limited to migrants born in Bolivia, Paraguay and Peru. |

En el marco de un interés por las formas que asume la distribución espacial de los migrantes en las ciudades, el artículo busca incorporar la pregunta por las características que asumen las áreas receptoras de los grupos. Para ello propone una tipología de entornos residenciales que tiene en cuenta el carácter formal o informal de la urbanización y las condiciones habitacionales que prevalecen en las distintas áreas, considerando la incidencia de situaciones inadecuadas en relación con el tipo de vivienda, la materialidad y el acceso a servicios urbanos. El trabajo se centra en la Aglomeración Gran Buenos Aires, y se acota el universo a los migrantes nacidos en Bolivia, Paraguay y Perú. Se trabaja a partir de un diseño metodológico cuantitativo que toma como principal fuente de datos el Censo Nacional de Población, Hogares y Viviendas 2010. No marco da pregunta pela inserção residencial dos migrantes nas cidades, o artigo busca transcender (e complementar) as potencialidades dos mapas temáticos para dar conta das formas que adopta sua distribuição espacial. Para isso, propõe uma tipologia de áreas residenciais que toma em conta a forma de produção (formal ou informal) do espaço habitacional e a incidência de condições habitacionais deficitárias. Trabalhando desde um desenho metodológico quantitativo que toma como principal fonte de dados ao Censo Nacional de População, Lares e Moradias 2010, busca-se estudar se os migrantes se inserem em áreas vulneráveis por seu carácter informal ou por concentrar condições habitacionais, deficitárias, assim como captarespecificidades dos grupos migratórios dentro de (e entre) diferentes tipos de área residencial.
