This has generated a phenomenon of interaction among the cities and the countryside, one of them, is the process of rurbanization, so one of its consequences is the change of building patterns. This article, is the result of a research, it sets out the transformation of the vernacular housing by the influence of the rurbanization, it derives a transformation which has not only a characteristic about the evolution of the physical space, but a new conception of the habitat that was originated by the generational, social change and economic activities. In this context, the research identified the building patterns of the vernacular housing which they had been kept just with a few changes until some decades ago, nowadays; it has been detected some modifications to the original structure of the housing due to a new perception of the habitat, a new habitability. |

Desde la segunda mitad del siglo xx, en México, se ha presentado un crecimiento acelerado de las ciudades y una reducción importante de la población rural producto de la migración a los principales centros urbanos. Esto ha generado fenómenos de interacción entre las ciudades y el campo; uno de ellos, el proceso de rururbanización, que trae, dentro de sus consecuencias, la modificación de patrones de edificación. Este artículo, resultado de una investigación, plantea la transformación de la vivienda vernácula por influencia de la rururbanización, la cual deriva en una transfiguración que tiene como característica no solo la evolución del espacio físico, sino también una nueva concepción del hábitat originado en el cambio generacional, social y de actividades económicas. En este contexto, la investigación identificó los patrones de edificación de la vivienda vernácula que se habían mantenido con pocos cambios hasta hace una décadas, y, hoy en día, se han detectado modificaciones a la estructura original de la vivienda por una nueva percepción del hábitat, una nueva habitabilidad. Desde a segunda metade do século xx, no México, tem se apresentado um crescimento acelerado das cidades e uma redução importante da população rural, produto da migração aos principais centros urbanos. Isto tem gerado fenômenos de interação entre as cidades e o campo; um deles, o processo de rurbanização, que traze, dentro de suas consequências, a modificação de patrões de edificação. Este artigo, resultado de uma pesquisa, expõe a transformação da moradia vernácula por influência da rurbanização, a qual deriva em uma transfiguração que tem como característica não só a evolução do espaço físico, mas também uma nova concepção do hábitat originado na mudança geracional, social e de atividades económicas.
