description | Regional studies have been altering the general frameworks that for many years have defined the interpretation of the Mexican Revolution. The global interpretations have run up against regional realities that don't move in the same direction nor at the same pace, revealing a variety of focal points some moving, others passive, even some others that are regressive that express contrasting histories within what we have called the Mexican Revolution. In this article we try to explain the role played by regional development in two states Jalisco and Sonora. Also discussed is the historic evolution that took each of them in different, contrasting directions when faced with the dilemma of constructing a new national project after the fall of the Porfirio Díaz regime and the outbreak of the Mexican Revolution. |
