Abstract: From a troubled world in the midst of pandemics and profound social and political changes, we spoke with today's most prominent Italian historian, Carlo Ginzburg, professor at the University of California, world renowned for works such as The Cheese and the Worms and Wooden Eyes, as well as for being a co-creator of Italian Microhistory. Through his experience, he invites us to reflect on the transformations of the contemporary world, among which stands out the debate for the truth in the digital environment, the limits of memory and heritage, the rapprochement between history and literature, all of this , in order to continually rethink the historian's work in a world that does not stand still. |
