Los estudios de las masculinidades, impulsados por el desarrollo del feminismo y de los Men´s studies desde la década de los ochenta del siglo pasado, se han centrado en analizar y comprender la realidad social, cultural e histórica en la que se desenvuelven los hombres como sujetos genéricos, con el objetivo de profundizar en las vivencias, las emociones, los privilegios y los costos de la masculinidad. Dentro de esta línea se reconoce que el espacio laboral es una de las instituciones, donde se reafirman y repiensan los aprendizajes de género. Es por ello que, desde la etnografía, en el presente texto se busca profundizar en la construcción de las masculinidades entre un grupo de albañiles mayores de 50 años en la región nororiente de Morelos.
