Descripción
Sumario:This work investigates the notion of "sexuality of Chileans" and their relationship with what we call the 'media confession', as they are constructed in the news and articles of the written press in Chile, and that allude to the radio program "El Chacotero Sentimental" (1996-2000). A discourse analysis was performed applying the analytical tool of Interpretive Repertoires to a corpus conformed by 10 articles. The Results section describe five repertoires: Discourse Psi, Collective Anonymous, Divorce of Reality, Euphemistic, and Chacotero. Some discursive practices are outlined in these repertories, organizing the relationship between sexuality and confession, among them, the exclusion of individual agencies and the intensification of the anonymous mass, the function of silencing discomfort, the construction of a national identity and the sexuality regulation, topics and objects of enunciation through which the journalistic media discussed freedom of expression and sexuality during post-dictatorship.
