description | One of the weaknesses of programs aimed at receiving immigrant students into Chilean schools is the absence of educational guidelines that may orient its management and help organizing their incorporation. This study presents the results of a documentary analysis on the schooling of immigrant students. By means of an analysis of semantic content of 82 documentary sources, explanatory categories were constructed allowing to identify certain patterns, tensions and conducting threads. The results analyze the main areas of action(access and enrollment), the nature of the documents (informative and instructive) as well as the predominant approaches to cultural diversity (rights approach and multiculturalism). Findings show the current state as well as the existing challenges for the development of reception strategies that promote greater equity and educational justice. We discuss the need to expand work to other areas, and to promote new approaches to cultural diversity through documents that can advise and guide the work carried out by the educationalcommunities. |

Una de las principales debilidades de los programas de acogida a estudiantes inmigrantes en escuelas chilenas, radica en la ausencia de lineamientos educativos que oriente el trabajo de gestionar y organizar su incorporación. En este estudio se presentan los resultados de un análisis documental en torno a la escolarización de estudiantes inmigrantes. Mediante un análisis de contenido semántico a 82 fuentes documentales, se construyeron categorías explicativas permitiendo identificar ciertos patrones, tensiones e hilos conductores. Los resultados analizan los principales ámbitos de acción (ingreso y matriculación), la naturaleza de los documentos (informativa e instructiva) así como los enfoques predominantes en torno a la diversidad cultural (enfoque de derechos y multiculturalidad), evidenciando de esta manera el estado actual así como los desafíos existentes para el desarrollo de estrategias de acogida que promuevan una mayor equidad y justicia educativa. Las discusiones giran en torno a la necesidad de expandir el trabajo hacia otros ámbitos, de promover nuevos enfoques hacia la diversidad cultural, a través de documentos que puedan asesorar y orientar el trabajo realizado por las propias comunidades educativas. Uma das fraquezas dos programas destinados a receber estudantes imigrantes nas escolas chilenas é a ausência de diretrizes educacionais que possam orientar sua gestão e ajudar a organizar sua incorporação. Este estudo apresenta os resultados de uma análise documental sobre a escolaridade de estudantes imigrantes. Por meio de uma análise de conteúdo semântico de 82 fontes documentais, foram construídas categorias explicativas que permitem identificar certos padrões, tensões e fios condutores. Os resultados analisam as principais áreas de atuação (acesso e matrícula), a natureza dos documentos (informativos e instrutivos), bem como as abordagens predominantes à diversidade cultural (abordagem de direitos e multiculturalismo). Os resultados mostram o estado atual, bem como os desafios existentes para o desenvolvimento de estratégias de acolhimento que promovam maior equidade e justiça educacional.
