El propósito de esta investigación es proporcionar nueva evidencia histórica que permita comparar el estándar de vida de los trabajadores de la Gran Minería del Cobre con el de otros sectores de la industria nacional (como textiles, alimentos, papel o cemento). Para esto, se ha elaborado un welfare ratio.
