Este trabajo expone los resultados obtenidos en el Cerro Aterrazado Occidental del sitio inca “El Shincal de Quimivil” (Catamarca, Argentina), ubicado al sur del Tawantinsuyu. Sobre este cerro se han encontrado dos alineaciones con respecto a la salida del Sol, que nos dan fechas importantes dentro del calendario inca. El Cerro Aterrazado Occidental habría sido una huaca local, razón por la cual fue revestido por una muralla en zigzag de probable factura cusqueña.
