The investigations performed with regard to manufacture and significance of the ishir feather headdress enable us to account for the technical complexity and particular aesthetic and symbolic meaning; and propose a historical overview to the current political situation of the original native societies of the Gran Chaco.

En este trabajo se describe un objeto singular del pueblo ishir conservado en el Museo Etnográfico Juan B. Ambrosetti de la Universidad de Buenos Aires. Se hace referencia al contexto histórico y sociocultural de origen, mencionando los antecedentes de investigación.
