Sumario:The fifth issue of the Society and Equity Journal is a significant contribution to knowledge regarding poverty and inequality, focusing on studies that offer new dimensions of analysis. These articles invite us, coming from different parts of the region, to assume the problems of poverty and social inequality as a complex andhistorically situated phenomenon in which subjective, cultural, ethical, economical and structural dimensions interact.
