El artículo plantea las principales discusiones teóricas alrededor del documental autobiográfico y da cuenta de las estrategias narrativas, formales y estéticas más recurrentes para representar la subjetividad en el cine de la experiencia. El rasgo introspectivo que caracteriza a los "autobiografilmes", se enmarca en el espacio de lo privado -lo cotidiano, íntimo, afectivo, emocional, confesional- y se traduce en puestas en escena que convocan diversos recursos autorrepresentacionales para modular un espacio, un tiempo y una voz que confluyen para evocar un "yo".
