En el hemisferio sur del continente americano comenzaban algunas de las cinematografías militantes que, por la originalidad de sus propuestas expresivas y la combatividad de sus films, producirían mayor impacto en los ambientes cinematográfico-políticos de los años setenta en todo el mundo.
