Sumario: | This text argues, based on review of studies concerning the Trinidadian author C. L. R. James, that James’ reflections on Matthew Bondman in Beyond a Boundary sums many author’s long lasting intellectual concerns and positions. This condensation is taken here as not only an epistemology particular to his writings, but also as a key to interpret James’ intellectual interventions. As a development of this standpoint, it is offered a reading of The Black Jacobins based on four displacements that were identified in this work. |
