In this paper we first intend to examine some procedures that cooperate in the visual dimension of Loynaz’s poetic writing. Aunque se las suele encasillar dentro del espectro del “posmodernismo intimista”, tanto la obra como la figura autoral de Dulce María Loynaz ofrecen singularidades que no tienen parangón en la literatura cubana del siglo xx. En este trabajo nos proponemos examinar, en primer lugar, algunos procedimientos que cooperan en la dimensión visual de su escritura poética. Para ello, ofrecemos una lectura en clave de género del poema “Retrato de infanta”, perteneciente a Versos, 1920-1938.
