This research aimed to analyze the possibility to obtaining the quantity of fruit required for sampling of lychee plants, to determining the average mass of the fruits, with less sampling error. One hundred fruits were collected, in a hectare, in two cropping systems, conventional and organic, being one fruit per plant. From the data of fruit mass was used the Excel® to calculate the average fruit mass and number of fruits samples needed to represent the area of the producer. The results show that to achieve a sampling error of 10% for determining the average mass of fruit, 400 fruits should be collected for organic system and 370 for the conventional, while for 20% sampling error, it is necessary to collect 250 fruits per hectare in organic system and 220 in the conventional. |

A mensuração da unidade experimental consiste numa técnica adequada para estimar a média do caráter em avaliação, sendo que a experimentação deve ser bem compreendida e executada, pois a precisão caracteriza a qualidade das inferências dos resultados. Objetivou-se verificar a possibilidade de obter a quantidade de frutos para amostragem de lichieira, para determinação de massa média dos frutos, com menor erro amostral. Foram coletados 100 frutos, em um único hectare, em dois sistemas de cultivo, sendo um fruto por planta. A partir dos dados de massa dos frutos foi utilizada a ferramenta do Excel® para o cálculo da massa média dos frutos e do número de amostras de frutos necessárias para representar a área do produtor. Os resultados mostram que, desejando atingir um erro amostral de 10% para a determinação da massa média dos frutos, devem ser coletados 400 frutos para cultivo orgânico e 370 para convencional, enquanto que para erro amostral de 20%, são necessários 250 frutos por hectare no cultivo orgânico e 220 no convencional.
