Sumario: | This text addresses the centrality of cultural management in the development of a cultural sector in Brazil, pointing out favorable and unfavorable perspectives and scenarios for this activity. Opposed to a technicist view of the professional practice of cultural managers, the study defends the need for a critical learning and an engaged performance, capable of facing the increasingly complex challenges of the sector within the dismantling context we live in. Lastly, it highlights insurgencies and experiences that present themselves as possible references for a cultural management more committed to the current Brazilian reality. |
