Este trabalho analisa aspectos históricos da Amazônia Brasileira, relatando características colonizadoras que levaram a uma maior desigualdade de gênero na região e a altos índices de violência contra a mulher. Busca-se expor especificidades do sistema de ocupação predatória da região e destacar o silenciamento da mulher amazônica como política de Estado. Assim, este trabalho procura produzir um texto crítico sobre o processo de saque da Amazônia, apontando a perpetuação de estereótipos que até hoje sustentam o silenciamento e a violência contra a mulher. El presente trabajo analiza algunos aspectos históricos de la Amazonía brasileña, planteando características colonizadoras que llevaron a una mayor desigualdad de género en la región y a altos índices de violencia contra la mujer. Se busca exponer particularidades del sistema de ocupación predatoria de la región y destacar el silenciamiento de la mujer amazónica como política de Estado.
