Sumario: | This study analyzes some historical aspects of the Brazilian Amazon, reporting colonizing characteristics that led to greater gender inequality in the region and high rates of violence against women. It seeks to expose peculiarities of the process of predatory occupation of the region and to highlight the silencing of amazon women as a State policy. Thus, this paper seeks to produce a critical text on the process of sacking the Amazon, emphasizing the perpetuation of stereotypes that until now support the silencing and violence against women. |
