Sumario:This article intends to think about the structure of the programming grids of open channels in Brazil, especially about the entertainment as well as analyzing why category. The reason for the occurrence of this aspect according to the optics of the presentation and myth. The methodological strategy that organized the work was given by theoretical review. It was possible to understand that on television significantly permeates entertainment schedules, based on an economic pillar and cultural; besides using strategies chacacteristic of the spectacle, according to Debord (1997), to accomplish the economic mission; and mythical to make the social link and guide to everyday lives.
