No decorrer deste trabalho é analisada a urbanização referente aos bairros Jardim Boa Vista e Conjunto Habitacional Recanto Verde, localizados na margem esquerda do vale do Rio Corumbataí em seu médio curso, no município de Rio Claro-SP. Buscou–se analisar o objeto de estudo frente às questões ambientais, aos instrumentos e documentos de planejamento e à segregação sócio-espacial verificada em loteamentos residenciais irregulares.
