Specific contents cover concepts and techniques that are difficult to understand only in theory, even when using other resources such as videos and case studies, in addition, certain skills can only be developed or improved through practical classes. This is noticeable within the discipline of Reproduction and Artificial Insemination of the Bachelor of Zootechnics course. The aim of this study is to report a practical class experience in the discipline of Reproduction and Artificial Insemination of the Bachelor of Zootechnics course and the perception of the importance of these practices by students. The method adopted in the present project was the description of the realization of a practical class and presentation of the students' reports through the practical class reports elaborated by them. The results show that the practical class provides a favorable environment for the participation and interaction among the students, so that at some point in the class there was a 100% participation of the class. This approach also allows the development of technical skills required for the formation of the future professional bachelor in Zootechnics. Thus, a practical class in the Reproduction Biotechnology laboratory can be configured as a successful methodological tool in the discipline of Reproduction and Artificial Insemination. |

No processo de ensino-aprendizagem as atividades práticas ganham destaque, pois permitem a observação e aplicação de conhecimentos técnicos de uma forma que não seria possível esta experiência apenas com a teoria. Determinados conteúdos ministrados abrangem conceitos e técnicas difíceis de serem compreendidos apenas na teoria, mesmo ao se utilizar outros recursos como vídeos e estudos de caso, além disso, certas habilidades só podem ser desenvolvidas ou aprimoradas por meio das aulas práticas. Isso é perceptível dentro da disciplina de Reprodução e Inseminação Artificial do curso de Bacharelado em Zootecnia. O objetivo do trabalho é relatar uma experiência de aula prática na disciplina de Reprodução e Inseminação Artificial do curso de Bacharelado em Zootecnia e a percepção da importância dessas práticas pelos alunos. O método adotado no presente projeto é a descrição da realização de uma aula prática e apresentação dos relatos dos alunos por meio dos relatórios de aula prática elaborados por eles. Os resultados mostram que a aula prática proporciona um ambiente favorável à participação e interação entre os alunos, de forma que em algum momento da mesma houve a participação de 100% da turma. Esta abordagem permite ainda o desenvolvimento de habilidades técnicas requeridas para a formação do futuro profissional bacharel em Zootecnia.
