The effectiveness of the means / instruments for the elaboration of public policies depends on the popular participation and democratic management that has a broad vision on the real necessities. It is a reflection through the current literature on the informational management of public policies at the municipal, state and federal levels in order to promote organizational performance in order to achieve success, as well as to show the circumstances of the typologies of public policies contextualized according to the purpose / function. Therefore, public policies should be thought in a rational way geared to meeting the needs of the population in order to corroborate with the quality of life, yet, the State / Government and researchers are responsible for creating and improving the laws and guidelines that govern this universe.

Recebido: 16/08/2018 Aceito: 03/10/2019 Compreende os aspectos conceituais e gerenciais de políticas públicas na sociedade contemporânea e visa apresentar um quadro teórico a respeito da temática e suas terminologias, além disso, mostra os principais pensadores que contribuíram para fundação das discussões. A eficácia dos meios/instrumentos de elaboração das políticas públicas depende da participação popular e gestão democrática que tenha uma visão ampla sobre as reais necessidades. Trata-se de uma reflexão mediante a literatura vigente sobre a gestão informacional das políticas públicas no âmbito municipal, estadual e federal no intuito de promoção de desempenho organizacional a fim de obtenção de sucesso, bem como mostrar as circunstâncias das tipologias de políticas públicas contextualizadas de acordo com a finalidade/função. Portanto, as políticas públicas devem ser pensadas de forma racional, voltadas para atender as necessidades da população a fim de corroborar com a qualidade de vida, contudo, o Estado/Governo e pesquisadores são os responsáveis pela criação e aprimoramento das leis e diretrizes que regem esse universo.
