Submissão: 2017-05-22 Aceite: 2017-08-17 O principal objetivo deste trabalho é demonstrar como as mulheres vítimas de violência doméstica se comportam e se sentem quando inseridas em um processo vitimizatório, bem como explicitar o conceito de culpabilização da mulher que sofre violência. Será demonstrado que a vitimização e a culpabilização contribuem não somente para a impunidade dos agressores, como também para que se tenha um número reduzido de denúncias no que se refere aos delitos relacionados a essas mulheres. Nesse ângulo, serão destacados alguns pontos importantes da Lei Maria da Penha (nº 11.430/2006) e suas respectivas problemáticas.
