description The process of including people with special needs, especially in higher education, is still marked by uncertainty, despite the fact that many institutions are receptive to the arrival of these people. The purpose of this article is to analyze the challenges and perspectives in the inclusion of people with disabilities in Brazilian Higher Education. It was a bibliographic study, thus making use of qualitative research, bringing the history-of-life method. The work points out that despite the evolution in policies regarding inclusion, there is still a lot to do for complete inclusion to occur.

It was a bibliographic study, thus making use of qualitative research, bringing the history-of-life method. The work points out that despite the evolution in policies regarding inclusion, there is still a lot to do for complete inclusion to occur. O processo de inclusão de pessoas com necessidades especiais, sobretudo, no ensino superior, ainda se encontra marcado por indefinições, apesar de muitas instituições se mostrarem receptivas à chegada dessas pessoas. O objetivo deste artigo, é analisar os desafios e perspectivas na inclusão de pessoas com deficiências no Ensino Superior brasileiro. Tratou-se de um estudo bibliográfico, fazendo dessa maneira o uso da pesquisa qualitativa, trazendo o método história de vida.
