Sumario: | This paper aimed to identify a conception that professionals of a primary school has in relation to autism. Method used was based on action research, which is a research centered directly on a collective situation or problem in which participants are involved of cooperative or participatory manner. Results revealed representations about autism related to deficits and losses of child, with a larger dimension in a analysis of individual and collective actions for the construction of inclusive spaces. In addition, reflection on contradictions between educational policies and possibilities of carrying out more humane and inclusive educational practices was highlighted.
