The type of document on which the FACED departments publish more were the papers presented in annals of international events, followed by chapters of books and articles in national journals indexed. Concluded that although constrained, the method used enables the analysis of productivity of diversified documents, which would not be possible in a database collection. |

O presente artigo tem como objetivo abordar a produção intelectual dos professores da Faculdade de Educação da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (FACED/UFRGS). Trata-se de um estudo com características quantitativas com análises qualitativas através de métodos mistos. Através do comando Common Command Language (CCL) do software Aleph, coletou-se as produções depositadas entre 2007 a 2010 e confrontou-se com os dados do Censo de 2010 do Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq). O tipo de documento em que mais publicam os departamentos da FACED foram os trabalhos apresentados em anais de eventos internacionais, seguidos de capítulos de livros e artigos em periódicos nacionais indexados.
