description This present article talks about a narration of experience placed in a application school of the University, in the North zone of Rio de Janeiro. This writing directs its spots to the in inclusive education topic, invigorating and intersecting discussion about the curriculum, the mediation and the mediator in the daily routine of the inclusive education. It is quested in this paper describe strategies and resources used aiming the curriculum adaptation. As well, amplify the reflexion around the possible ways to be follow in order to achieve the effectiveness of the knowledge of the student whit especial needs and all the student in the class, ensuring the democratic part of education. This narration started in a research project called “Students with especial educational needs in the second part of the elementary school: strategies to the process of teaching and learning”, which had as its protagonist a fourteen years old students, with mental disability, enrolled in the sixth year of the elementary school. During one year, the research project, a qualitative one, showed positive results compared to the contemporary educational demands of our educational system, in the inclusive education. Recebido em: 11/03/2017.Aprovado em: 27/03/2018. O presente artigo trata de um relato de experiência realizada em um Colégio de Aplicação Universitário, localizado na zona norte do Rio de Janeiro. O trabalho em questão direciona seus holofotes às questões de educação inclusiva, dinamizando e interseccionando discussões a respeito de currículo(s), mediação escolar e mediador no cotidiano da educação inclusiva. Busca-se aqui descrever estratégias e recursos utilizados com vistas a adequações curriculares, bem como ampliar a reflexão em torno de possíveis caminhos a serem trilhados para efetivação do saber por parte de um estudante com diferenças acentuadas em seus processos de aprendizagem e de todos os discentes presentes em turma, garantindo assim o viés democrático da Educação. Este relato de experiência teve origem em um projeto de pesquisa denominado “Alunos com necessidades educacionais especiais no 2º segmento do ensino fundamental: Estratégias para os processos de ensino e aprendizagem”, que teve como protagonista um aluno de 14 anos, com deficiência intelectual, matriculado no sexto ano do ensino fundamental. Com durabilidade de um ano, o projeto de pesquisa, qualitativa, aponta resultados positivos frente às demandas educacionais contemporâneas de nosso sistema de ensino, em educação inclusiva.
