Sumario:Under hermeneutic approach, this review presents considerations on the work "Origin and Destiny: Thinking of Bourdieu's Reflective Sociology", written by Afrânio Mendes Catani and published in 2013 by Editora Mercado de Letras in which he presents Bourdieu's authoritative legacy, a author who dared different and expressed the feeling in his intellectual doing in the great area of sociology, with emphasis on a reflexive sociology. Catani points out that Bourdieu's distinctive mark in his sociological writings is reflexivity, which is the quest to draw relationships between different areas, in cultivation by a way of teaching (and learning) that is relational and reflective. From Bourdieu to Pierre: origin and destiny between saying and writing wants to bring a little of what this author represents, in an invitation to read what he dared to say and to write.
