Sumario:Globalization has given rise, in the 21st century, to a multidimensional crisis, which affects educational public policies, the functions of the university, as a knowledge-producing center, and, consequently, the academic community. Based on this context, this article intended to identify the concepts of internationalization of Higher Education in the National Education Plan 2014-2024, in light of the concept of a university historically implemented in Brazil, as well as the creation of the Federal University of Latin American Integration . For this, the research took place through the documental content and also through the literature review produced in this century. Through this study, it was found that the concept of international integration and academic mobility are the main perspective of internationalization. Thus, the survival of universities, in the midst of the global crisis, depends on promoting cosmopolitan teaching work and a new university model, based on interculturality and international integration.
