description The Coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19) puts society in a situation where all educational systems, have been paralyzed or have had a very drastic commitment to disrupt educational activities. Universities and private colleges have moved to unprecedented remote and distance learning operations in order not to stop the academic calendar. In this sense, this article aims to discuss the importance of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as a mediator in Brazilian higher education during the Covid-19 pandemic. The methodology employed was qualitative and bibliographic, through research on theoretical frameworks, Brazilian legislation, in addition to the observation of the daily life of Brazilian higher education in the mass media.  From the analysis of the results obtained, it was possible to conclude that the aid of technologies, the teacher benefits the student during the period of the coronavirus pandemic, as it makes a broader approach and allows him/her to make associations, through remote classes that can be enhanced with the active teaching methodologies.

La pandemia de coronavirus (Covid-19) pone a la sociedad en una situación en la que todos los sistemas educativos se han paralizado o han tenido un compromiso muy drástico con la interrupción de las actividades educativas. Las universidades y colegios privados han operado una operación sin precedentes con clases remotas y a distancia, con el objetivo de no detener el calendario académico. En este sentido, este artículo tiene como objetivo discutir la importancia de reflexionar sobre las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC) como mediador en la educación superior brasileña, durante la pandemia de Covid-19. La metodología utilizada fue cualitativa y bibliográfica, a través de la investigación en marcos teóricos, la legislación brasileña, además de observar la vida cotidiana de la educación superior brasileña que tiene lugar en los medios de comunicación. A partir del análisis de los resultados obtenidos, fue posible concluir que con la ayuda de las tecnologías, el maestro beneficia al estudiante en el período de la pandemia de coronavirus, ya que adopta un enfoque más amplio y le permite hacer asociaciones, a través de clases remotas que pueden aprovecharse con metodologías activas de enseñanza. A pandemia do Coronavírus (Covid-19) coloca a sociedade em uma situação em que todos os sistemas educacionais, foram paralisados ou tiveram um comprometimento muito drástico com a interrupção de atividades pedagógicas. As universidades e faculdades privadas movimentaram uma operação sem precedentes com aulas remotas e a distância, com o intuito em não parar o calendário acadêmico. Nesse sentido, o presente artigo objetiva discutir a importância da reflexão da Tecnologia da Informação e Comunicação (TIC) como mediadora na educação brasileira superior, durante a pandemia do Covid-19.
