| description | This paper aims to delineate the current trends of work in the context of productive flexibility background. O presente artigo pretende esboçar um delineamento das atuais tendências do trabalho no contexto da flexibilização produtiva. Para tanto, assume o pressuposto de que o trabalho constitui um elemento fundamental do processo de socialização humana e que deve ser compreendido em sua especificidade histórica, tendo como referência a totalidade social em que se insere.
