The aim of this paper is to present and discuss, even in a preliminary way, the movements peasants has proved a major critical agents of modernization of the countryside. The central hypothesis is that the theme of internationalisation, especially in the MST – expressed concretely in conjunction with the CLOC and Via Campesina – and the fundamental building block of a political project latin american that binds to other popular movements in the field. This project establishes an understanding of supranational dimensions of land problems, incorporating also other topics - such as biodiversity and the environment.
