description Myth has received different confi gurations through the ages, and is still present in today’s literature. Its presence is marked not only by the mythical tales, but also by the use of a poetic language that has its beginnings in the origins of communication, which according to some authors like Barthes, for instance, has a strong relation with myth. Expressing itself in a poetic language, myth would be a message, whose communicative codes would be a way of poetic expression. In this way, myth would be the poetic language itself. According to this, we want to show that when René Char quit using the ordinary language and creates a fragmented poetry marked by chaos, he comes closer to the poetic language in its origins, which has a close link with myth itself. Keywords: René Char. Poetry. Myth. Poetic Language.

Keywords: René Char. Poetry. Myth. Poetic Language.
