The special way of relating the journalistic expertise with the political action results in the professional intervention inside public assistances and in the occupation of state institutions positions. The methodology which is used is consisted of interviews with journalists responsible by leading positions with the objective of obtaining information connected to the social, political and professional fields. |

Este estudo analisa os padrões de recrutamento e ascensão profissional dos jornalistas no RS. Uma das condições de ascensão profissional que se destaca consiste nas estratégias de reconversão de recursos políticos em posições jornalísticas e em redefinições dos mecanismos de legitimação dos papéis dos profissionais. A forma especial de relacionar a expertise jornalística com a atuação política resulta na intervenção profissional em assessorias políticas e na ocupação de cargos em instituições estatais.
