In this article, we present some features through dialogue between concepts and immigration study methodologies, articulating them with specific bibliography about Andean workforce in São Paulo’s textile sector. O crescimento da presença hispânica na cidade de São Paulo, principalmente dos imigrantes bolivianos nesta última década, está comumente relacionado com a produção de artigos de vestuário em pequenas confecções. Trata-se de um fenômeno complexo, cuja discussão é cada vez mais recorrente no meio acadêmico, institucional e midiático. Inserido no contexto de mundialização comercial e econômica, encontra-se permeado por ilegalidades e vicissitudes inerentes à dinâmica migratória.
