O texto apresenta e discute as duas principais correntes ideológicas que tratam das motivações dos empresários para a prática da responsabilidade social empresarial, tanto a interna, afeta às suas relações com os trabalhadores, quanto a externa, relativa às suas relações sócioambientais.
