En este trabajo se realiza un análisis de la novela A gloriosa familia del escritor angoleño Pepetela (1997). Para investigar la representación literaria de la historia de Angola, se utilizan los planteamientos de Ana Mafalda Leite (2003) sobre teorías postcoloniales; la noción de intertextualidad, de Kristeva (1981), y los planteamientos de Aínsa (1996) sobre la narrativa de tema historiográfico.
