Este artigo visa analisar intertextualmente a poesia Retrato, de Cecília Meireles (2006), e a obra pictórica de Goya (2012), As velhas, na tentativa de aproximá-las, principalmente em seu conteúdo temático, o tempo. Para tanto, foram utilizados os preceitos da Literatura Comparada, as noções da Intertextualidade, de Julia Kristeva, vinculadas ao dialogismo bakhtiniano, bem como a ligação entre a literatura e as artes visuais, bem observada por Praz (1982) e Souriau (1983).
