O presente ensaio pretende realizar o panorama das relações entre as ciências ditas “naturais” ou “exatas” e a literatura na Itália a partir do final do século XIX até o final do século XX. Verificaremos que na literatura italiana o tema científico foi aos poucos ganhando espaço na poesia e na narrativa de autores como Carducci, D’Annunzio, Pirandello e Marinetti.
