Thus, a great deal of what was done in the twentieth century Portuguese literature will be replaced by a mode that deals with things that are prosaic, small and have no quality. However, certain decisive names of this literature´s history, such as Pessoa and Camões, will not disregarded. Surge uma nova tendência na literatura portuguesa, uma nova geração, que se mostra numa antologia de nome "Poetas sem qualidades". Esta poesia manifesta uma nova relação forte com a realidade, e propõe, a partir de uma nova dicção poética, a adoção de parâmetros distintos não apenas para o fazer poético, mas também para a recepção de poesia.
