Sumario:This article presents the possibilities of growth that are available for the Brazilian economy. It resumes the idea of fast growth (catch up) and its main possibilities - the possession of new frontiers, the building of structures by active procedures and the organization of the superior entrepreneurial capacities. Then, the recent economic crises of countries such as Mexico, South Korea, Philipines and Indonesia are compared to draw the conclusion that the Brazilian crisis of currency devaluation was successful. The last part is dedicated to the analysis of the barriers and possibilities of fast growth, showing that the success will depend on the capacity of combining the elements of each of those possibilities presented above.
