Sumario:I discuss knowledge and cooperation in the rural milieu or rural societies placing them within the framework of production transformations. Also, I place the production agents as players in this transformation. I outline the interaction of knowledge and entrepreneurship ability as the main productive force in the construction of “new markets”. For such, I analyze classic sociology authors (particularly Weber and Marx). The main focus is to understand how rural development can be conceived from knowhow typical from the “rural world” in interaction with the technical and scientific developments which are typical to precision and codification attributed to the industrial society.
